Donate the Stripes – Young Spikes x Tiger Beer Design Competition 2019 Finalist

Insight

With only 3,890 wild tigers left in the world, tiger conservation is now more important than ever. However, it’s an issue that’s easy to overlook, because when the problem is out of sight, it’s out of mind. How do we gain the world’s attention, and spark action to save our tigers?

Idea

We’re going to partner with adidas and donate our iconic stripes, to increase the number of stripes for the iconic animals who need them the most; endangered tigers.

Console Your Balls – Young Lions Health 2019 Entry

Problem

70% of men aged 18-24 either don’t know how or have not performed a self examination of their testicles within the last month. How can we ensure young men habitually check their testicles for changes?

Insight

Young men who play video games are already performing the motions of a self-examination; they just don’t know it.

Solution

Let’s get male gamers to use their controllers as an interactive tool to learn how to examine their testicles. We’ll partner with Sony Playstation to create ‘Console Your Balls’, a digital experience that taps into gamer activity, turning their game play into a game changer for testicular cancer prevention.

Snapstock – Young Lions 2019 Entry

Problem

Our images don’t represent the real Australia

Australia has a real problem with representation in advertising, media, and the arts. Yet it’s a conversation few are willing to have. What if we let our pictures do the talking, and change our culture one Snap at a time?

Solution

Talk with pictures and make a cultural statement

We’ll partner with Shutterstock to create SnapStock, a digital integration that allows all Snapchat users to become creative contributors to a diverse stock library. SnapStock will let pictures do the talking, and empower everyday Australians to create culturally diverse stock images that represent the true world we live in.

How can creativity help solve a problem?

Millennials increasingly prefer brands with purpose. By taking a stance on the lack of diverse representation in advertising and media, Snapchat will resonate with our target audience in a meaningful way.

SnapStock will be integrated into Snapchat’s UX, empowering millennials to communicate the cultural changes they want to see.

SnapStock users won’t just receive monetary value for their creative pictures, they’ll also be changing the conversation around representation by letting their pictures do the talking.

What’s in it for brands?

Brands are also recognising that choosing pictures that are relatable to diverse groups benefits their brand’s reputation. Striking a chord with consumers is no longer about serving them pictures of perfection, so SnapStock will lead the movement in providing pictures that accurately portray diversity.

Defence Housing Australia – Annual Report 2017-2018

We were tasked to create the online version of Defence Housing Australia’s latest annual report. The key challenge for this project is how to balance design and accessibility.

Timeline

This particular annual report is a lot special than the others because it commemorates the organisation’s 30 years of service. It features an interactive timeline that represents DHA through the years. Users are able to explore the timeline and unravel key facts about the history of the organisation.

Animations

We’ve added subtle animations to make the content more engaging and fun to read. The animations also guide the eyes of the users as they scroll through the page.

Accessible

In an effort to be inclusive, all Australian government websites are required to be accessible. A lot of considerations were made to make this years annual report easy to use, navigate and read no matter what device you are using.

Team & Role

Created the entire website’s information architecture, UX and UI design.
