I’m a Sydney-based Senior Product Designer with 10+ years’ experience designing and building digital products. I started in front-end development, so I design with a practical understanding of how things get built and work closely with engineers to ship work that holds up beyond the prototype.Currently at Wonderful, I help clients improve their web and mobile experiences, from early thinking through to scalable, production-ready design systems.
Work
I created a flexible design system for Discover Tasmania that showcased the region's beauty and diversity. The modular approach enabled various layouts, from image-focused displays to interactive maps and travel itineraries, allowing new content to seamlessly fit without feeling repetitive. The system empowers the website team to be creative with each page, ensuring a unique look and feel that avoids a templated appearance.Visitors can browse activities, plan day-by-day trips, and view driving distances between destinations, allowing them to design personalised journeys. Feedback has been positive, with users praising the site’s ease of navigation and the client enjoying the creative freedom it provides.
I led the design overhaul for the new UTS website, aiming to break away from typical university website aesthetics. After multiple concept rounds, I established a unique look and feel that centres on a distinct pixel graphic device, giving the site a modern and editorial flair without a rigid grid. Collaborating closely with the UX team, I translated wireframes into high-fidelity designs, and we validated these through iterative user testing. The design process spanned over eight agile sprints, during which we conducted numerous stakeholder workshops to co-create and refine the designs. With the website currently in development, early feedback has been positive, signalling a successful design phase.
I led both the UX and UI phases to create a website that truly connects with their diverse audience. Starting with wireframes, we conducted user testing with individuals of all ages, considering the organisation’s focus on community service and aged care. We gathered insights from these sessions, which shaped our approach as we transitioned into the design phase. Our design concept revolved around the theme of "The Power of People," reflecting Anglicare’s mission to empower their staff, volunteers, and those they serve. We emphasised warmth and authenticity, incorporating hand-drawn elements contributed by Anglicare employees to foster a sense of ownership and connection. Accessibility was a priority, ensuring the site is easy to navigate for older users, with clear pathways to essential information. This collaborative approach not only aligned with Anglicare’s values but also informed updates to their brand guidelines, supporting a consistent and welcoming online presence.
I worked on both the user-facing shop and the florist dashboard. We embarked on a concepting phase that elevated the brand's image, transforming it from its old-school roots. This fresh design was rolled out across the entire ecommerce platform, complemented by a robust design system to accommodate diverse scenarios. The florist dashboard was designed as an intuitive backend for managing orders, enhancing usability for florists. The project has been notably successful, with Interflora receiving recognition, including being shortlisted for the Breaking New Ground category at the MACH Impact Awards and winning the global commercetools partner awards.
I adapted an externally developed design system for the salary packaging sign-up process and employee portal, ensuring consistency and alignment across their digital assets. Working closely with the UX team, product managers, business analysts, and subject matter experts, we held regular workshops to gather requirements and discuss design needs with the technical and development teams. This is an ongoing project, with the initial designs now in alpha release. By rolling out this phase, we’re able to gather valuable user feedback and iterate on the designs to refine and improve the experience.
While I’m focused on my current role, I’m always open to hearing about interesting opportunities, speaking engagements, side projects, mentoring, and more. Feel free to get in touch!
